Anne represents regulated and unregulated utilities, newly formed corporations, customer groups, industrial entities and others before state agencies, courts and federal administrative bodies.

Her 10-year tenure as Indiana's Utility Consumer Counselor until January 2005 has earned Anne the title of longest-serving counselor in the history of the state of Indiana. There, she led a staff of 57 in representing customers — residential, commercial and industrial — before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Federal Communications Commission and the courts.

As Utility Consumer Counselor, Anne reorganized the governmental entity to become more policy-oriented and the agency began to engage in issues beyond its traditional advocacy role.

Anne received her juris doctor degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

When Anne's not thinking about the regulatory complexities of utilities, the left-hander might be contemplating the techniques of throwing a baseball. She received a baseball glove for her birthday so she can learn how to play the sport with her 9-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter.

"I don't want to be the pitcher anymore," she says. "Their line drives are dangerous."

"As a result of my years as Indiana's Utility Consumer Counselor, I have been personally involved in just about every facet of the regulatory process affecting utilities and their customers. I believe my experience provides me with a unique perspective into what is a unique area of the law. I enjoy providing clients with guidance."
