Brad practices mainly in the areas of securities regulation, financial services and corporate litigation. He worked from 1994-2002 as Indiana Securities Commissioner, improving the climate for small businesses to raise capital for investment and taking action against firms and individuals that fraudulently targeted Hoosier investors.

In recent years Brad has served as a federal court appointed receiver in an SEC civil action involving a brokerage firm accused of violating securities laws through the fraudulent sale of church bonds. He has also served as the fund administrator overseeing the distribution of more than $9.5 million dollars to aggrieved investors in connection with a settlement the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FINRA) reached with a large national brokerage house.

Brad graduated with a doctor of jurisprudence degree from the Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington.

Brad also completed a one-year term as president of the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA), the umbrella organization of state and provincial securities regulators in the United States and Canada. As NASAA president, Brad called upon state regulators to streamline state securities regulation and modernize to meet the needs of the global electronic marketplace.

Featured on network news programs examining investment fraud, Brad has been quoted in various publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today and Forbes.
