Christine M. Riesner

Christine M. Riesner brings a rich and diverse legal background to Stewart & Irwin. Chris obtained her bachelor's degree from Indiana University, and then continued her education at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, earning her Juris Doctorate. Previous positions with firms in Chicago and Indianapolis afforded her with experiences ranging from bad-faith actions on behalf of insurance companies, to cases in maritime and construction law.

"Today, I enjoy the balance of working hands-on with my family law clients, while still having the chance to explore the complex legal issues associated with litigation," she explained.

Chris is currently a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, Indianapolis Bar Association, Defense Trial Council of Indiana and the American Inns of Court. She is also active in the Women in Law Committee for the Indiana State Bar Association. In addition to her passion for law, volunteerism is a cornerstone of Chris' life. She works as a pro bono attorney for The Julian Center, an Indianapolis nonprofit agency serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and received the 2006 Volunteer of the Year award for her work in that capacity.

Chris is also an avid runner, currently training for the Mini-Marathon and is a member of a local running club.
