Fred, an active lobbyist, enjoys working with the people who give themselves to public service—as employees or appointed and elected officials of local, state and federal government.
Fred lobbied for the Indiana State Medical Association and was instrumental in the passage of the Indiana Malpractice Bill by the Indiana General Assembly in 1975. The bill provided physicians with cost stability in medical malpractice insurance and was used as model legislation for states nationwide.
Fred earned his doctor of jurisprudence degree from the Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington.
Fred was named a Sagamore of the Wabash, the highest honor bestowed upon a civilian by an Indiana governor. Fred's honor was from Govs. Matthew Welsh, Roger Branigin, Edgar Whitcomb, Otis Bowen, Evan Bayh and Joe Kernan.
An avid outdoorsman, Fred unwinds by golfing, hunting, fishing and traveling.
"Any excuse I have to be near the ocean or in the mountains, I take advantage of."
"The vast majority of people involved in the government process are the pillars of the community, and I have enjoyed my professional relationships with them."
