Member of Bars of Ohio Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, Supreme Court of Indiana, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and Supreme Court of the United States.

Member of Indianapolis and Indiana Bar Associations, American Bar Association and International Association of Defense Counsel. Served on the Executive Committee of IADC; chaired its Legal Ethics Committee, and for 13 years, ending in 1999, served as Chairman of its annual Legal Writing Contest, evaluating each year hundreds of of entries, submitted by law students throughout the United States and Canada. Also, the author of a number of articles, published in Defense Counsel Journal, its predecessor, Insurance Counsel Journal, and Res Gestae.
