MARY F. SCHMID, PRESIDENT AND EQUITY SHAREHOLDER WAS RECENTLY NOMINATED FOR
THE METRO INDIANAPOLIS MOST INFLUENTIAL WOMEN ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Mary F. Schmid, President of Stewart & Irwin, P.C. was recently nominated for the Indianapolis Most Influential Women Acknowledgment hosted by the Indianapolis Business Journal. 

It was written that during her career Mary has demonstrated all the characteristics that define the criteria for the metro Indianapolis Influential Women Acknowledgment, which is the driving force in submitting Mary for this prestigious award.

Mary exemplifies a high level of leadership while demonstrating professional excellence.  She has a passion for mentoring and a vision to share this passion with young, enthusiastic adults pursuing a career in the law. 

She is a pioneer in the legal field serving as President and CEO of one of the top 10 law firms in Indianapolis, all the while, attentive to an extensive law practice. 

Mary practices in the areas of commercial and complex litigation. Mary prosecutes and defends complex commercial litigation cases for both large and small business clients with various legal disputes in the federal and state courts in Indiana. Significant litigation matters include prosecuting and defending class action cases on behalf of Indiana automobile dealers and successfully defending various large telecommunications providers against customer and contract claims.

Mary earned her doctor of jurisprudence degree from the Indiana University School of Law. She is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State and American Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts of the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and the Seventh U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
