Stewart & Irwin Website Announcement
Regarding UAL Mechanics’ Eligibility Criteria for Settlement
Stewart & Irwin is representing the plaintiffs in a putative class action lawsuit against United Air Lines relating to the layoff of airline mechanics from the Indianapolis Maintenance Center in Indianapolis in April, 2003.
If you were an IND Active Mechanic who was laid off from the Indianapolis Maintenance Center in April 2003 and did NOT accept a bid to another location or special unpaid leave to retirement; take early retirement at the time of the layoff; or if you were not recalled within 6 months of the layoff, you may meet the criteria to be an eligible member of the putative class. A tentative settlement in principle has been reached in the lawsuit in which you may be entitled to participate if you are an eligible putative class member.
If you feel that you meet the above criteria, please contact Kristina Clarke at (317) 396-9518 or Richard E. Aikman, Jr. at (317) 396-9534 at Stewart & Irwin for further information.
(Please be ready to provide your UAL file number as well as current contact information for verification purposes.)
